Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Perform thorough walk-around inspection of vehicles.
- Accurately record customer concerns, and relay this information accurately to technicians.
- Help customer maintain their vehicles by outlining and presenting needed maintenance interval repairs.
- Keep customers informed of vehicles progress several times while in the shop.
- Notify customers of changes in promised time schedule.
- Inform customers of future maintenance needs.
- Perform active delivery of finished vehicles, with thorough explanation of work and charges.
- Complete all necessary factory training
Experience Required: Minimum of two years within automotive dealership as a Service Advisor or Assistant Service Manager.
MUST BE VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED.
- PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING.
- VALID DRIVER LICENSE AND GOOD DRIVING RECORD.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Experience with extended warranties and insurance claims.
- Proficient computer skills.
- College Degree preferred.
