Overview
West Hollywood Elementary School is seeking a caring, responsible, and energetic SupervisionAide to support a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for students during recess and/or lunch periods. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, value community, and are committed to student well-being.
Duties
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and in the classroom
- Promote safe and respectful play following school guidelines
- Intervene in conflicts using positive behavior strategies and report concerns as needed
- Assist students with minor needs (e.g., simple first aid, finding equipment, resolving small issues)
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and administrators
- Help maintain a clean and safe play environment
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children (school, childcare, camp, etc.) is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain alert, patient, and proactive in a busy outdoor environment
- Dependability and professionalism
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise outdoors in various weather conditions
Hours - 3 hours/day, Monday through Friday
