What You'll Do
- Translate blueprints and technical drawings into clear welding plans and sequences.
- Fabricate and repair shipboard structures—beams, columns, and framing components—across Gulf Coast shipyards.
- Apply MIG, TIG, and stick processes to a variety of metals to meet project needs.
- Inspect and test completed welds to confirm compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain torches, leads, machines, and related tools to ensure peak performance.
- Work closely with fitters, supervisors, and peers to hit milestones safely and efficiently.
- Follow all site and company safety protocols every step of the way.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal welding training preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a structural welder and a portfolio that showcases your work.
- Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and stick welding and familiarity with standard shop and field equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in producing top-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Current welding certification is a plus.
