Custodial Supervisor -
Second Shift
$20 - $22 per Hour Based on Experience

West Herr Auto Group in Buffalo, NY needs to hire a Custodial Supervisor who will report to the Facility Manager/Maintenance Manager and is responsible for general cleaning of the exteriors and service bays. In this full-time role, you will oversee the second shift custodial cleaning of key facilities, ensuring they provide a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for the entire West Herr portfolio.
This role is for the 2nd shift, from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities – Custodial Supervisor:
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of employees within the shift and assigned buildings. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable State and Federal laws.

Lead and assist in cleaning duties. Primary duties will include:
- Power washing exteriors
- Window cleaning
- Service shop cleanings – walls and floors
- Follow cleaning protocols and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as power washers, floor scrubbers, and man lifts.
- Address any maintenance issues related to cleanliness promptly.
- Coordinate services activities for assigned buildings. Ensure that services are performed as contracted and meet the customer specifications.
- Maintain/monitor work schedules of all shift personnel, including the preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets.
- Establish/maintain work performance standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory as well as general use of equipment.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and other personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety Responsibilities:
The Custodial Supervisor is accountable for maintaining a safe work environment. This includes ensuring all team members are trained in safety protocols and actively participate in maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace. Ensure all custodial operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as West Herr's quality control policies. Lead the way in promoting a safe and secure working environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required. 1 - 3 years of custodial experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Technical Skills:
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- Ability to use a power washer
- Ability to use a floor scrubber
- Ability to use a man lift Ability to pull a trailer behind a vehicle

Licensing & Physical Requirements:
- Valid New York Driver's License required; Commercial Class B license preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
