What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at West Hazleton Veterinary Hospital?
Experience highly preferred!!!! Busy state of the art vet practice looking for a technician assistant to join our team. If you are high energy, love working with animals and people too, you may be a match for us! Ease with handling animals and talking to people is a must. This is a fast paced environment.
You must be a people person and a team player. Must work well with others. We pride ourselves on having a family like atmosphere.
Your duties would include assisting the veterinarian/technician on appointments, restraining animals for exams and blood draws, follow-up care of animals in our clinic, some treatments, and managing the follow-up with our clients. Must be able to lift 50lbs unattended. Some computer skills are necessary. Experience is a plus but we are willing to train the right person.
This is a full time position. Must be committed to showing up for work, must be reliable, and passionate about working with animals. Pay will depend on experience.
