School Counselor (0.5 FTE)

West Hartford Public Schools seeks to fill the position of a School Counselor (0.5 FTE) at Sedgwick Middle School.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling services to students.
• Deliver classroom guidance lessons and facilitate small-group interventions.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and community partners to support student success.
• Respond to student crises and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals.
• Use data to identify student needs and evaluate counseling program effectiveness.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
  
  

Valid CT Certification (068) is required.
