What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (FTE 1.0) position at West Hartford Public Schools?
West Hartford Public Schools is seeking to fill a position for a full-time Registered Behavior Technician at Norfeldt Elementary School. Previous experience with students with social-emotional-behavioral needs is preferred. Responsibilities include working with other pupil services staff to implement IEP goals and objectives, collect data, and support students' behavioral and academic needs.

Requirements
- Completion of required training including 40-hour online course, required supervision hours by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Must have passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment.
- Must pass the initial RBT examination and annual recertification process.
- Must have current certification or be able to obtain certification in Physical Management Training.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have demonstrated completion of high school or equivalent/higher, and pass all necessary background checks.
- Implement student Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Maintain and report student records.
- Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress.
- Perform Physical Management in the event of an emergency.
- Discharges duties in accordance with RBT Ethics Code.
- Other duties as assigned by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Pupil Services Department Supervisor.
