Teaching Assistants (NYS Teaching Assistant Certification Preferred)

West Genesee Central School District has immediate and anticipated openings for part-time Special Education Teaching Assistants for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities include working with individual students or groups of students on instructional activities and tasks, and related work as required.

This is a 6.5-hour-per-day, 10-month position.

Job Qualifications

• Willing to work towards a knowledge of curriculum and instruction as it relates to academic and social/emotional learning.
• Experience with children and some knowledge of childhood development.
• Demonstrates integrity, honesty, patience, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
• Is skilled at establishing positive working relationships.
