We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at West Farms Hotel. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel's facilities and infrastructure. Your expertise in various trades, such as plumbing, construction, electrical, carpentry, and masonry, will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry work, and masonry repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, and resolve any issues efficiently to minimize guest disruptions.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment, identifying maintenance needs and taking appropriate action to address them.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to create a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and engineering, to address maintenance-related concerns and provide assistance when needed.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in maintenance techniques, tools, and equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing, construction, electrical, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various equipment and systems, such as HVAC, plumbing fixtures, electrical circuits, and building structures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with colleagues and external vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in relevant trades is preferred.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
