What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preconstruction Manager - Commercial position at West End Workforce?
We’re partnering with a growing commercial construction firm in Florida that is expanding its team and looking to bring on a Preconstruction Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who has hands-on exposure to estimating, takeoffs, and subcontractor coordination, and is looking to grow within a strong commercial GC environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in preparing conceptual and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
- Support subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and proposal review
- Help develop scopes of work and participate in bid leveling
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution
- Contribute to budget development across multiple project phases
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–6 years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction
- Experience within a commercial general contractor environment preferred
- Exposure to takeoffs, bidding, or subcontractor coordination
