Job Responsibilities
Youth Counselors are the front-line youth workers of the West End Community Center Youth Program. Youth Counselors help to ensure that the children at West End Community Center are safe and having fun. Youth Counselors are responsible for leading high-quality programming, mentoring youth and role modeling positive interactions with the community at large.
- Serve as a positive role model for youth.
- Ensure that youth are engaged in positive activities
- Plan and lead activities to increase social and academic experiences for youth.
- Provide academic support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to implement activities to ensure that the program goals and objectives are met
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age
- Experience working with School-age Youth
- Ability to work well as part of a diverse team of people
- Experience with persons from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and Child Protective Services background check.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
