About The Role

We are seeking a strategic, customer-obsessed, and highly analytical Sr. Manager of Site Merchandising to lead the digital merchandising experience for our Furniture Case Goods and Outdoor businesses. This role is responsible for shaping and executing best-in-class online merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth, conversion, customer engagement, and brand storytelling across the customer journey.

As a senior leader within eCommerce, you will own the end-to-end site experience for these key categories—bringing together data-driven insights, visual storytelling, customer behavior, and cross-functional collaboration to create inspiring and seamless shopping experiences. You will serve as both a business owner and customer advocate, continually optimizing the digital experience to reduce friction and maximize commercial impact.

This role oversees one direct report, an Associate Site Merchandising Manager, with additional leadership responsibility for one Assistant Site Merchandiser through skip-level management. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Creative, Tech, Analytics, and Operations teams to execute seasonal campaigns, category strategies, and site innovations that support broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

Site Merchandising Strategy & Business Ownership


  • Lead the site merchandising strategy for the Furniture Case Goods and Outdoor categories, driving revenue, conversion, engagement, and customer retention.
  • Own category performance and customer experience across all onsite touchpoints including category pages, search, navigation, product storytelling, promotional campaigns, and seasonal launches.
  • Oversee the execution of major seasonal campaigns and category launches, ensuring cohesive storytelling and premium product presentation across the site and translates business priorities into compelling onsite experiences to inspire discovery and support conversion goals.


Analytics & Performance Management


  • Analyze business performance weekly toidentifyrisks, opportunities, and actionable insights that drive category growth.
  • Monitor key KPIs including traffic, conversion funnel,product finding behavior, and basket building.


Customer Experience & Optimization


  • Champion a seamless, intuitive, and inspiring digital customer journey that reflects the brand vision while reducing customer friction.
  • Partner with UX, Product, and Marketing teams to influence digital enhancements and prioritize initiatives that improve customer engagement and business performance.


Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership


  • Lead, coach, and develop an Associate Site Merchandising Manager while providing guidance and mentorship to an Assistant Site Merchandiser.
  • Represent the DTC/eCommerce customer experience in cross-functional meetings, assortment reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Build strong relationships across Merchandising, Planning, Inventory Management, Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and flawless execution.


Criteria


  • 6 years of eCommerce merchandising experience required.
  • 2 years of people management experience with demonstrated success developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale category businesses and seasonal campaigns within a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Deep understanding of site merchandising strategy, customer journey optimization, and digital storytelling.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance brand storytelling and commercial performance.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, organizational, and project management skills.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • This role requires being onsite in the Dumbo office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
