We are seeking dedicated tutors to provide high-impact tutoring services to K-12 students in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics. This position supports Arkansas's commitment to accelerating student learning through one-on-one and small group instruction during the school day.
About High-Impact Tutoring
High-impact tutoring is among the most effective interventions for accelerating student learning. Our program provides targeted, consistent, and data-driven instruction that supplements core academic teaching and helps students who need additional support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring in groups of four or fewer students or one-on-one
- Deliver instruction at least three times per week, minimum 30 minutes per session
- Build and maintain strong, consistent relationships with assigned students
- Deliver supplemental instruction that supports, but does not replace, core academic teaching
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and school staff
- Track student progress and maintain accurate attendance records
Qualifications
Required:
- Complete training in literacy and/or mathematics instruction
- Training in building positive relationships with students and families
- Training in classroom/behavior management
- Training in meeting learners' social and emotional needs
Preferred:
- Current or retired educator | Student in educator preparation program
- Evidence of training in the Science of Reading (for literacy tutoring)
Schedule & Location
- Position is during regular school hours
- Tutoring delivered on-site at participating schools
- Consistent schedule to maintain continuity with students
