MATERIALS ****You will not be considered for the position if all documents are not submitted by the deadline***** - Classified Edjoin Application - High School Diploma - Resume - At least three signed Letters of Reference less than one year old (Electronic signatures are not accepted.) Effective date of Employment: 2025-2026 School Year Hours vary between 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday Substitute position - On call basis when needed Must pass Instructional Assistant examination: Exam will be administered - Date To Be Determined. Location - 1717 W Merced Ave., West Covina 91790. You will be notified of your test date. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Under the direction of assigned administrator, assist certificated teachers or specialists in performing a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Instructional assistants in this assignment spend the major portion of their time working usually independently with pupils in small groups or tutoring on a one-to-one basis in a classroom or pull-out program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Must demonstrate proficiency in basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills by passing the District Instructional Assistant Proficiency examination. Copy of High School Diploma required/or college transcripts. District Applicants must apply on www.edjoin.org and attach all requested document to your online application. District Policy #4442: "Substitute and short term employees shall not be eligible for paid holidays nor shall they be eligible to participate in District health, dental, or other insurance programs."
