What are the responsibilities and job description for the Package Delivery Driver position at West Coast Motors?
Overview:
We are seeking package delivery drivers. currently we have both full time and part time positions available. A cargo van is required for this job, applicants owning a vehicle will take priority on the hiring list, however we do have rentals available for applicants without one. The work starts everyday in Vancouver washington (near the port of vancouver) where drivers will load up the packages, and head to their designated delivery area in Tigard or Portland area.
This is a contractor position, drivers will get paid 1099 wages
Duties:
- Drive vehicles to transport goods to customers in a safe and timely manner
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle
- Perform heavy lifting as needed
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of courier practices is a plus
Pay will vary depending on what route you will be assigned to, that will depend on weather you are interested in a full time or part time job. Our pay structure is per stop, our average driver will deliver 130-180 stops a day right now. The stops go up significantly during the holiday season so you can expect to double that if you are physically able during holiday season.
Work schedule is 6 days on, 3 days off in general, weekends will alternate with that schedule as we do have to cover the routes 7 days a week. Working days can be flexible, there is always more work days available rather than less.
The pay range is what our average drivers earn now, if you are a go getter you can earn up to 2,000 per week. Extra stops are available to those wanting to take on more.
