Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team.
Duties:
- Summarizes and documents what the physician verbalizes during exam.
- Assist with diagnostic testing procedures
- Prepare examination rooms
- Provide patient education on eye care and procedures
- CPT coding
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate appointments and follow-ups
Skills:
- Experience working as an ophthalmic scribe
- COA or COT certification helpful, but not required.
- Understanding of medical coding practices
- Ability to work effectively in a clinic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
