OrthoXpress, an OrthoKinetix company, is seeking an organized, hands-on Hospital Inventory Program Manager to lead and oversee our hospital inventory management program across more than 30 facilities nationwide.

The majority of our partner hospitals are located throughout California, with additional facilities in other states. This position will supervise hospital supply clerks, oversee inventory and documentation compliance, lead new program implementations, provide product education, and serve as the primary liaison between OrthoXpress and hospital leadership.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary: $65,000–$72,000
• Quarterly performance bonus of up to $1,000

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the hospital inventory management program across assigned hospitals throughout California and other states
• Supervise, train, coach, and hold hospital supply clerks accountable to company standards and performance expectations across more than 30 facilities nationwide
• Conduct weekly on-site hospital visits to review inventory levels, program compliance, employee performance, and customer satisfaction
• Travel to out-of-state hospitals on a monthly or quarterly basis to support existing programs, conduct audits, deliver training, and implement best practices
• Lead the implementation and onboarding of new hospital inventory programs, including product setup, staff education, workflow development, documentation requirements, and launch support
• Conduct monthly and quarterly product in-services and educational training sessions at assigned facilities
• Meet regularly with hospital supply clerks to review inventory processes, workflows, documentation, performance expectations, and areas requiring improvement
• Oversee weekly hospital replenishment orders to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize shortages, and support uninterrupted patient care
• Monitor process compliance and documentation at each facility, ensuring required paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time
• Audit hospital inventory usage, replenishment activity, and ordering patterns to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Partner with directors of materials management, emergency department leadership, case management teams, and other key stakeholders to review program performance
• Identify opportunities to expand services, increase product utilization, and strengthen hospital partnerships
• Resolve inventory, product, employee, and service issues promptly while maintaining strong customer relationships
• Prepare reports and communicate program performance, inventory status, compliance metrics, service concerns, and improvement opportunities to company leadership
• Identify new products and services that can add value to hospital partners, improve workflows, and support better patient care
• Serve as the primary liaison between OrthoXpress/OrthoKinetix and hospital leadership, ensuring exceptional service, program accountability, and continued growth

Qualifications

• Two or more years of inventory management, materials management, program management, healthcare operations, or related experience
• Experience supervising, coaching, or providing direction to employees across multiple locations
• Strong leadership, communication, training, and relationship-management skills
• Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive and professional working environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to evaluate inventory information, ordering patterns, compliance data, and operational performance
• Comfortable communicating with hospital executives, clinical leaders, materials-management personnel, case-management teams, and frontline employees
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond quickly to operational issues
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and inventory-management systems
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly
• Ability to travel by air and stay overnight as business needs require

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a hospital, healthcare, medical-device, durable medical equipment, or clinical-supply environment
• Experience managing inventory or service programs across multiple customer locations
• Experience leading hospital product implementations, staff education, or clinical in-services
• Experience with consignment or customer-site inventory programs
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, healthcare administration, operations, or a related field

Requirements:

• Must have your own reliable vehicle
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have and keep valid auto insurance
• Must have a clean driving record
• Background check required
• Must be able to walk, utilize stairs, bend, stoop, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must have your own cell phone and be comfortable using phone apps and Microsoft Outlook.
• If hired, must have access to a computer or tablet to do online onboarding and online training.

Experience: Two or more years of inventory management, materials management, program management, healthcare operations, or related experience

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent relative experience required.

Schedule: Full Time

Travel / Work Location: This position is based in Riverside, California, and requires frequent travel to hospital customer locations. Weekly on-site visits to hospitals throughout California are a central responsibility of the position. Monthly and quarterly out-of-state and overnight travel will also be required to support existing hospital programs, conduct audits, provide training, implement best practices, and assist with new facility launches. Travel frequency may vary based on customer and program needs.
