Independent Contractor - Hospital Supply Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Independent Contractor (1099) to serve as a Hospital Supply Clerk for minimum of 1 hour up to a maximum 2 hours, once per week to service our hospital in East Liverpool, Ohio. The candidate must be able go once a week arriving no later than 1:00pm to service the hospital before the department closes.

This role involves managing our medical products in our assigned hospital supply area efficiently within each hospital, ensuring proper inventory control, and maintaining compliance with hospital protocols and confidentiality standards. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, organized, and preferably is familiar with hospital supply and inventory settings. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work independently within a vital healthcare environment. It is perfect for someone looking for a little supplemental income.

Compensation / Time Commitment / Payment Schedule

• Contracted rate of $75.00 per facility, per service visit.
• 1 to 2 hours per week, per hospital service visit based upon product usage volume at assigned facilities. Frequency of visits may change depending upon the amount of product the hospital uses.
• Payments are made biweekly, contingent upon service visit logs and other required paperwork related to the visit being received per the required payment schedule.

Required Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory and tracking records of our hospital supply stock for each assigned hospital. Verify product received against packing slips. Report any shortages or discrepancies promptly.
• Unpack shipments, organize, stock, and replenish/reorder supplies in designated areas at your assigned hospitals and according to our company and hospital protocols typically once weekly, per facility, as dictated by hospital volume. Some assigned hospitals may require once a week, and others if the volume is low may require only two or three times per month.
• Scan and submit packing slips, green form batches, and other required documentation on a weekly basis.
• Follow proper procedures for handling sensitive or sterile materials in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned product areas to support efficient workflow and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and confidentiality standards.
• Communicate effectively with our company Inventory Management and Accounting teams, as well as with hospital staff and their materials management teams.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital supply clerk or hospital / healthcare inventory management experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Familiarity with patient information handling and hospital procedures.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with company and hospital staff.
• Must have reliable transportation to cover assigned hospital weekly. Typically in the mornings or within the hours that the assigned hospital areas are open.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Background check and TB test will be required for hospital clearance.
