Job Summary
The Patient Ambassador is a results-driven, patient-facing role responsible for increasing case acceptance, driving treatment plan conversions, and enhancing overall patient satisfaction. This position blends exceptional customer service with consultative sales, guiding patients to understand and commit to recommended dental care while supporting office production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-energy, welcoming experience that builds trust and encourages patient loyalty
- Present and explain treatment plans in a clear, confident, and persuasive manner
- Drive case acceptance by addressing patient concerns, overcoming objections, and emphasizing value
- Educate patients on the importance of dental health and available treatment options
- Discuss financial arrangements, insurance benefits, and payment plans to close treatment acceptance
- Follow up with unscheduled or pending treatment patients to convert opportunities into booked appointments
- Track and meet individual and team production and conversion goals
- Identify opportunities to upsell additional services (cosmetic, preventative, or specialty treatments)
- Maintain consistent communication with providers to align on patient needs and sales strategies
- Ensure a seamless patient journey from consultation to treatment completion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or dental/medical front office
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales or conversion targets
- Experience discussing pricing, financing, or high-value services preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and insurance is a plus
