All Paraprofessionals must have or obtain an educational aide permit with ESEA Endorsment.
Sail Program Overview: A program to support students with significant academic, cognitive and daily living skill needs. This program focuses on strengthening functional communication skills, social skills and daily living skills. This program is also designed to support students with medical and or mobility needs. Students may still participate in the general education setting for parts of the day when appropriate, as determined by the IEP team.
Sail Program Features: Students are supported by program staff with ongoing professional development in academic instruction and curriculum modification. Staff incorporate building social and communication skills throughout the day, while also increasing independence with all activities. If needed, students have access to assistive technology, close position to restroom and services to address health needs. Services are provided using a team approach.
