Job Overview
West Chester Metals Recycling is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Materials Handler to join our operations team. In this role, you will assist customers with sorting and weighing incoming materials, organize warehouse inventory, and support logistics and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, physically capable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, outdoor-oriented environment.

- Receive, sort, and weigh materials brought in by customers, including assisting with offloading from vehicles.
- Deliver excellent customer service by accurately categorizing and processing materials.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and palletize materials for shipment.
- Ensure all materials are properly weighed, labeled, and documented.
- Operate a forklift to load pallets onto trucks and move materials as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of incoming metals and assist in report preparation.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete daily tasks and resolve any issues efficiently.
Requirements & Skills
- Knowledge of various metals, wires, and general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and software systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory handling.
- Physical stamina and strength; able to lift heavy items and work in outdoor conditions year-round.
- Effective verbal communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
Education, Experience & Certifications
- Prior forklift experience is a plus.
- Previous warehouse or materials handling experience is preferred but not required.
