What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Custodian position at West Chester Area School District?
West Chester Area School District seeks to increase our substitute custodial resource pool.
The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent is necessary
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside contacts.
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Perform various tasks in buildings where assigned. Replacement custodial duties for absent custodians:
- Empty trash into larger container
- Dusting top and flat surfaces
- Emptying pencil sharpeners
- Cleaning chalk/dry marker boards
- Dust mop and vacuum floors
- Wet mop floors
- Dump trash from large container into dumpster
- Ability to use all custodial equipment
