Duties
- Manage daily daycare operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and organizational policies
- Lead and motivate a team of teachers, caregivers, and support staff to deliver exceptional childcare and early childhood education
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and learning readiness
- Oversee classroom management to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Coordinate parent communications, address concerns promptly, and foster strong relationships with families to support their child's growth
- Conduct regular staff training on topics such as behavior management, special education needs, first aid procedures, and inclusive caregiving practices
- Ensure all staff hold necessary certifications such as first aid and CPR; facilitate ongoing professional development in childhood development and classroom techniques
- Monitor health and safety protocols diligently, including emergency procedures related to infant care, toddler care, and general childcare standards
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management strategies
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups—infants, toddlers, preschoolers—and familiarity with developmental milestones
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, licensing agencies, and community partners
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions among children
