Veterinary Technician – Full-Time or Part-Time
West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Services, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our emergency veterinary team. We are an after-hours Emergency & Urgent Care Hospital located in Lima, Ohio, dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to their families.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is a reliable team player, and has a passion for both veterinary medicine and client care.
Preferred applicants will be credentialed Veterinary Technicians or eligible to sit for the VTNE within the next 12 months. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate a professional, compassionate attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with emergency patient care and medical procedures
- Professionally greet and assist clients in person and over the telephone
- Serve as a liaison between clients and the veterinary team
- Admit and discharge patients
- Process payments and client transactions
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Clean and help maintain a clean, organized hospital
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
Experience with Clientrax practice management software is a plus but is not required.
Schedule & Requirements
This is not a traditional daytime veterinary position. Applicants must be available to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and major holidays on a rotating schedule.
As an Emergency & Urgent Care Hospital, our team provides after-hours and holiday care for the community.
Regular Hours of Operation
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Friday: 6:00 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM (continuous weekend coverage)
- Open 24 hours during all major holidays
