Reports To: Regional Manager / Area General Manager
Position Summary
The Manager on Duty (MOD) serves as a key operational leader across to any of our hotel locations in the Colorado Denver region, including Aurora, Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins.
This role ensures consistent guest service, property standards, and team performance in alignment with Motel 6 / G6 Hospitality and Super 8 brand expectations.
The ideal candidate has strong hotel and hospitality supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and maintain operational excellence across multiple properties.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
- Serve as the acting manager on duty during assigned shifts across designated properties.
- Ensure all brand standards, cleanliness expectations, and safety protocols are consistently met.
- Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Support General Managers with operational coverage, training, and onsite problem-solving.
Guest Service
- Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Uphold a high level of hospitality, service quality, and communication across all properties.
- Monitor guest feedback and coordinate improvement plans with property teams.
Team Supervision & Training
- Provide onsite leadership, coaching, and support for property-level staff.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees on brand standards and operational procedures.
- Ensure staffing levels, shift coverage, and workflow support operational needs.
Safety, Compliance & Property Standards
- Conduct property walk-throughs to verify safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and safety procedures.
- Identify and report maintenance needs and coordinate urgent repairs with property teams.
Administrative & Reporting
- Complete shift reports, operational logs, and incident documentation as required.
- Support inventory control, supply ordering, and budget adherence when onsite.
- Communicate operational updates, risks, or concerns to the Regional Manager.
Qualifications
- Required: 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience in the hotel/hospitality industry (Front Desk, AGM, MOD, Housekeeping Supervisor, or similar).
- Experience with economy or limited-service hotel brands preferred (Motel 6, Super 8, Red Roof, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Can Commute to Any of the location Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Aurora.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Working knowledge of property management systems (PMS) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
