What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech position at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital?
Prescribes ionizing radiation for Radiologic examinations on patients while maintaining ALARA. Operates x-ray equipment, process images, prepares patient rooms, maintains supplies and medications, and completes all documentation.
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Two years of training in a School of Radiologic Technology in a hospital-based certificate program or a degree in a college.
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and/or Licensed by the LA State Board of Radiologic Technology.
Experience Requirements:
- Must be able to operate radiographic equipment with multiple medical environments (surgical, clinical, and emergent) in a safe and responsible manner.
