What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist position at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital?
General Function: Prescribes ionizing radiation for Radiologic examinations on patients while maintaining ALARA. Operates x-ray equipment, process images, prepares patient rooms, maintains supplies and medications, and completes all documentation.
- POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Educational Requirements: High school graduate. Two years of training in a School of Radiologic Technology in a hospital-based certificate program or a degree in a college. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and/or Licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience Requirements: Must be able to operate radiographic equipment within multiple medical environments (surgical, clinical, and emergent) in a safe and responsible manner.
