Certified Medical Assistant – Dermatology / Mohs Surgery
We are a busy dermatology practice seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team, with a strong background in Mohs surgery and dermatologic procedures. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is certified to perform blood draws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Mohs surgical procedures and dermatologic treatments.
- Room patients and prepare for procedures.
- Obtain and document medical histories and vital signs.
- Perform blood draws and handle specimens.
- Maintain surgical instruments and sterile fields.
- Support provider with documentation and patient education.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical safety standards.
Requirements:
- Current CMA certification .
- Phlebotomy certification or documented venipuncture competency.
- 1 year experience in dermatology or surgical assisting, preferably Mohs surgery
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- EMR experience (e.g., EMA, Epic, etc.) preferred
- Team-oriented and dependable
