West Bergen is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated professional to join our Residential Program as a full-time Residential Worker. In this rewarding role, you’ll work directly with clients to promote wellness, independence, and recovery while helping create a safe, supportive, and welcoming residential environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, day to mid-day hours
- Starting rate: $17.13 per hour

What You’ll Do
As a Residential Worker, you’ll play an important role in helping clients build confidence, develop independent living skills, and achieve their personal wellness and recovery goals.
We welcome candidates with a variety of educational, professional, and life experiences. Applicants must meet one of the following qualification pathways:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in mental health, health, or another appropriate human services-related discipline
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least one year of college combined with related work or life experience totaling four years, including at least one year of relevant experience when the college coursework does not meet the degree requirement
- Practical Nurse (LPN) license plus two years of related work or life experience
- High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of related work or life experience
CPR and First Aid certification are required before independently providing services and must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Training will be provided for candidates who are not currently certified.
Preferred Qualifications
We are especially interested in candidates who have:
- Experience in mental health or behavioral health services
- One of the educational or professional credentials listed above
- A valid driver’s license
- A driving record that meets the requirements of the Agency’s automotive insurer
