Job Summary
As a Claims Trainer, you’ll design and deliver innovative learning experiences that support associates at every stage of their career. Empower others and shape the future of commercial insurance learning- collaborate with subject matter experts, create dynamic curriculum, facilitate impactful training, and apply talent development principles to drive real results.

Work Location
This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations. Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Are you passionate about developing talent and sharing your expertise in casualty claims? We’re looking for a Casualty Claims Trainer who brings both technical knowledge and a commitment to fostering continuous learning.
About the Role
In this role, you will partner with our training team to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning while delivering engaging, effective training experiences. You’ll apply adult learning principles to design and facilitate impactful programs that support both new and experienced associates.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the training team to create and deliver high-quality learning experiences
Design and facilitate training using adult learning principles
Research, develop, and organize curriculum related to insurance coverage and content
Support onboarding by developing schedules and technical training plans in partnership with hiring managers
Maintain and manage curriculum within the Learning Management System (LMS)
Coordinate instructor-led training sessions, including scheduling and SME participation
Track, document, and evaluate training effectiveness; recommend improvements
Deliver presentations and lead training sessions as assigned
Participate in industry workshops, conferences, and training consortiums
What We’re Looking For
Experience handling moderate to complex casualty liability claims
Strong commitment to learning and development
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and eLearning tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of insurance or training experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation preferred
Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation and CPCU coursework a plus

Salary Statement
The salary range for this position is $68,933-$86,166.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
