Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and senior care facilities. As a Nursing Assistant, you will assist patients with daily living activities, support nursing staff, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. FULL TIME 2P-10P
Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Help with patient mobility by lifting and transferring individuals safely.
- Provide support during medical procedures in both medical-surgical and emergency medicine settings.
- Maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks or similar systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the patient care area.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and self-care practices.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience in senior care or working within a teaching hospital is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Previous experience in clinics or hospitals is beneficial but not mandatory.
