Summary
The Awake Overnight DSP is responsible for remaining alert and available throughout the shift while providing assistance as needed to ensure each individual's health, safety, and overall wellbeing.
A Resting Overnight DSP provides care and supervision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the night. While a private sleeping area is provided, the DSP remains on-site to assist with scheduled nighttime needs, personal care, and any developing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the shift.
- Provide personal care and support while ensuring individuals' health, safety, and well-being.
- Follow individualized care plans and report concerns to nursing staff or management.
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy and training.
- Complete assigned household tasks and accurately document overnight activities.
- Promote respectful, positive interactions with individuals, families, coworkers, and community partners.
- Attend required trainings and meetings and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old; High School Diploma or GED; Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Compensation & Job Opportunities
3rd Shift Awake: $23.50 per hour
- Providence: Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am
- Johnston: Wed/Thurs/Fri & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am
- Warwick: Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am
3rd Shift Resting: $19.00 per hour
