Substitute Teacher (25-26 School Year)

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience teaching or working with children
• Committed Christian, aligned with the Academy’s Mission and Statement of Faith, actively attending a local church
• Commitment to the philosophy of Christian education
• Desire and ability to teach children across all grades (preschool through 8th), or in specific grade levels of your choosing
• National fingerprint background check on file
• Attend annual Substitute Teacher training at WBCA

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACSI certification
• Bachelor's Degree, Associates Degree, paraprofessional certificate or teaching assistant certificate

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Demonstrate ability to work with and relate to students of all ages (preschool - 8th)
• Ability and commitment to follow the provided lesson plans
• Demonstrate ability to teach children with varied skills and learning styles
• Ability to integrate the Christian faith with curriculum, instruction, discipline and the school community
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Guide, assist and encourage students in the learning process
• Demonstrate flexible teaching style
• Understand and follow school policies
