Role Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing effective instruction to meet the needs of students. This includes developing and implementing lesson plans, assessments, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruction:
  The teacher develops and implements effective lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that meet the academic needs of students.
• Establishing and Maintaining a Learning Environment:
  The teacher establishes and maintains a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Professionalism:
  The teacher demonstrates professionalism by growing and developing professionally, reflecting on teaching practices, actively supporting school activities and events, and accepting responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Maintain good attendance and punctuality
2. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and other stakeholders
3. Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds
4. Keep accurate records and complete reports and paperwork in a timely manner
5. Attend meetings as directed and maintain confidentiality of student information
6. Participate in events related to the profession, including open house, family nights, graduation, and supervising co- and extracurricular events

Evaluation Criteria:
Evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with West Baton Rouge Parish School Board Personnel Evaluation Plan.
