Job Description – Plastic Extrusion Operator
1. Extrusion operators set the speed dials and temperature controls on the extruder to ensure that the created product is the right size, shape, thickness and finish.
2. Change dies, adjust and calibrate following set up procedures and general operation.
3. Fill boxes or reel extruded products onto rolls of specified lengths or pieces.
4. Clean work areas.
5. Work with team members and shift foremen to take care of complications as they arise.
