Position: Action 330 Activities Coordinator - Part Time Seasonal

Summary:

To create, implement and directly oversee a daily after school program schedule. This position will create the rotation schedule, prep and set up arts/crafts, games, enrichment activities, fill out internal supplies order form, etc. This position requires a high level of flexibility, creativity and knowledge of elementary age students' interests and creates a great working relationship with the school staff.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or 2 years working with children in a leadership capacity or professional setting

Responsibilities:

Daily Facilitation - to assist the Site Coordinator in the following areas:

• Create and foster a positive and enjoyable work environment for all staff.
• Directly work with and coach Group Leaders in the execution of the game, craft or activity.
• Responsible for the proper documentation and communication of all participant behavior, accidents and parent communication via CampDoc with the Site Coordinator.
• Creation of newsletters with Site Coordinator to keep parents informed of all that is happening during programs.

Program Coordination - to assist the Site Coordinator in the following areas:

• Responsible for security and cleanliness of permitted areas at all times, respecting shared spaces.

• Create and implement daily activities as scheduled, supervising and assisting staff in program schedule completion.

• Accountable for clear, consistent and positive communication with program participants, parents and families.

• Responsible for creating and distributing monthly newsletters, calendars of scheduled activities, as a means of communication for program participants and families via CampDoc with the Site Coordinator.

• Create programming schedules for daily and weekly activities which include but are not limited to; outdoor games, indoor games, crafts, homework help, academically enriching activities, and coordinated choice activities.

• Responsible for the hiring, onsite training, and supervision of program staff, to ensure adherence to all staff responsibilities and program expectations.

• Continues review and evaluation of staff performance, providing redirection and coaching daily in combination with completing formal evaluations as scheduled.

• Complete all monthly required documentation as scheduled to maintain accurate program records.

• Attendance at all meetings and trainings, to foster professional development.

• In the absence of the Site Coordinator, the Activities Coordinator will act as the Site Coordinator and carry out those responsibilities.

• Other duties as assigned by the Site Coordinator.

Rate of Pay: $18.00

Hours: 3:15 - 5:30pm (plus 20 hours for activity planning time throughout the school year)
