The Audit Department Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the audit team within a public accounting firm and acts as a central point of coordination for audit staff, helping to streamline workflows and enhance productivity by handling clerical tasks, tracking deadlines, and preparing materials required for audit engagements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management
- Highly organized
- Able to juggle multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proactive in anticipating team needs
