About the Role: Homemaker Cook
As a Homemaker Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at The Village.
As a Homemaker Cook, You Will
- Create a warm, “home-like” dining experience by preparing and serving delicious, visually appealing meals tailored to residents’ preferences and dietary needs.
- Engage with residents to honor their food choices and provide personalized service, including accommodating special requests and substitutions.
- Maintain spotless, organized food storage and dining areas while following strict sanitation and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory, ensure meal supplies are ready, and minimize waste through careful handling and efficient kitchen practices.
- Foster community by dining with residents and offering assistance to those needing help with eating in a caring, supportive environment.
- Part-time - Weekdays and Weekends
- Experience in food preparation and safe food handling
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Skilled in customizing meals while respecting nutritional guidelines and personal choice.
- Capable of prepping for upcoming meals, managing food stock, and minimizing waste.
