What You’ll Do
Keep Our Community Running Smoothly
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance throughout the community
- Ensure all systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Put Your Skills to Work
Handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including:
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Carpentry and painting
- Boilers and mechanical systems
- Doors, locks, windows, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures
Prevent Problems Before They Happen
- Complete preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled service
- Assist with apartment turnovers and annual inspections
- Monitor building systems to identify and resolve issues early
Respond When Residents Need You Most
- Provide timely responses to maintenance requests and service calls
- Assist with after-hours emergencies when needed
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and guests
Stay Organized & Compliant
- Maintain maintenance logs, fire safety records, and inspection documentation
- Assist with OSHA compliance and regulatory inspections
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed
Be Part of the Team
- Work collaboratively with Environmental Services, Marketing, and other departments
- Support community events and operational needs
- Contribute to a positive and professional workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or mechanical repair
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable, self-motivated, and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial facilities maintenance preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of physical plant maintenance experience

Valid Georgia driver’s license and insurable driving record (if required)

Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building systems

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English

CPR and/or First Aid certification may be required

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience in a retirement or healthcare community preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and stooping

Occasional sitting; close visual work (e.g., reading, computer use)
