We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/Accounting person to join our accounting team. The Accounting and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing accurate timekeeping for biweekly payroll for 2 entities. Payroll includes supplemental pay types and bonus payroll along with supporting month-end close activities and account reconciliations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee compensation, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

- Process bi-weekly payroll for 2 businesses alternating weeks
- Review electronic timekeeping earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments for accuracy
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Coordinate payroll-related activities, including benefits- HSA, 401K deductions and weekly submissions to admin
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end payroll activities
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, with experience processing payroll in dedicated software and accounting software.
- Experience with dedicated all-inclusive payroll software EI: Netchex, Paycor, Paycom, ADP etc.
- Knowledge of medical deductions, HSA and 401K reporting requirements
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
Salary : $48,000 - $52,000
