Health & Insurance Benefits

Time Off & Holidays

  • We offer a combined paid time off (PTO) policy which incorporates state paid sick leave with company paid time off at an accrual rate of 0.0607 per hour worked, equivalent to 120 hours of PTO at 2,080 hours worked in a year. The PTO accrual rate increases after two years of service and again after five years of service.
  • We offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours - full time, 6 hours - part-time per event, excluding on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excluding on-call staff).

Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Housekeeping Supervisor role. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and performs common, day-to-day housekeeping and laundry activities to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable setting for residents. Housekeeping activities such as sanitizing, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, laundry pick-up/delivery, laundry services, making beds, emptying waste baskets, and preventative maintenance occur within a retirement community. The Housekeeping Supervisor may manage a team performing work in one or more subareas such as skilled nursing, memory care, catered living, assisted living, or independent living. In addition, the Housekeeping Supervisor will direct and assess the work of housekeeping aides in support of department goals and work standards. You will provide continuing care through these responsibilities 

Essential functions of this position include the following.

• Supervise and manage staff to ensure performance aligns with standard work and service expectations.

• Create schedules in alignment with occupancy/census.

• Document and conduct orientation and training for new staff members.

• Document and conduct safety training.

• Maintain sanitization and cleanliness of all public and residential living areas.

• Order, inventory and maintain supplies, storage area, and equipment in a secure, safe, and organized manner.

• Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist in cleaning apartments and/or preparing residential units for new occupants.

• May assist with hiring (coordinating and conducting interviews).

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.


Our requirements and qualifications for success

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Understanding of cleaning protocols to include sanitization in a healthcare setting

• A service-oriented approach to work

• A desire to engage with seniors to help them live their best years

• Good organizational skills including follow-through and time management

• Ability to understand and communicate (speak, write) in the English language

• Basic computer skills needed

• Basic technology skills including use of mobile apps

• Ability to maintain appropriate confidentially; adherence to HIPAA policies

• Previous Retirement Community experience a plus

• Two or more years of supervisory experience a plus; managing employees, with emphasis on scheduling, training, quality control, conflict resolution and performance evaluation


Physical, environmental, and mental requirements

• Ability to move around campus at a quick pace

• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time

• Using proper body mechanics, must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to bend, stoop and kneel frequently

• Apply your physical and muscle strength to lift, push, pull or carry objects

• Ability to utilize your lower back and abdominal muscles to support part of the body repeatedly and continuously over time without fatiguing

• Ability to perform work while residents are present; subject to interruptions


Salary Range: $26.04 to $37.53 per hour
