Health Insurance Benefits

Time Off Holidays

  • We offer a combined paid time off (PTO) policy which incorporates state paid sick leave with company paid time off at an accrual rate of 0.0607 per hour worked, equivalent to 120 hours of PTO at 2,080 hours worked in a year. The PTO accrual rate increases after two years of service and again after five years of service.
  • We offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours - full time, 6 hours - part-time per event, excluding on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excluding on-call staff).

  • Retirement planning is encouraged through our 403(b) plan that includes a generous 100% company match on the first 4% of earnings an employee contributes. There is a 5-year vesting schedule for the company match, and minors are ineligible for the company match.

Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) role. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide hands-on support to help patients improve mobility, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life. This role also includes supporting the unique needs of home health patients by promoting safety, comfort, and quality of movement in their home environment. Find your sense of belonging at Wesley!

You will provide continuing care through these responsibilities Essential functions of this position include the following.

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions in patient homes.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes or concerns to the supervising PT.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to promote active participation in care.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and assistive devices, educating patients and caregivers as needed.
  • Support hospice care goals by promoting patient comfort and minimizing physical distress through gentle interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies and Washington State Federal regulations.
  • May train patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to support holistic patient care.
  • Ensures documentation in the patient’s clinical record is accurate and timely.
  • Follows established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay informed of trends, practice developments and maintain licensing requirements.
Our requirements and qualifications for success

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and active Washington State PTA license.
  • Current CPR BLS certification.
  • Experience in Home Health and/or Hospice experience preferred, but not required.
  • Driving is an essential function and/or a legitimate business purpose of this position; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required as a condition of employment.
  • Basic proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and mobile documentation tools.
  • Kind, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a home-based setting.
  • Comfortable working with patients across the continuum of care, including end-of-life.
Physical, environmental, and mental requirements

  • The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to function in other people’s home setting which can vary widely with the course of a day or week.
  • Job requires being sensitive to others' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job.
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
