Art Handler / Driver – Fine Art Logistics (Travel Required)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Art Handler / Driver to join our team. This role combines hands-on art handling with driving responsibilities, including local and long-distance transportation of fine art.

The ideal candidate has experience in fine art logistics, galleries, museums, or moving companies, and is comfortable both handling artworks and operating a company vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Driving company trucks or vans for pickups and deliveries
• Professional packing and soft packing of artworks
• Shadowboxing and preparation for crating
• Assisting with crate packing and loading/unloading
• Installation and deinstallation of artworks (residential & gallery settings)
• Safe handling of artworks of all sizes, including large-format pieces
• Coordinating routes and working efficiently on tight schedules

Requirements:

• Proven experience in art handling, moving companies, or gallery/museum work
• Valid driver’s license (REQUIRED)
• Experience driving vans or box trucks (preferred)
• Knowledge of packing techniques (foam, wrap, shadowboxing, etc.)
• Experience installing artworks (leveling, mounting, hardware)
• Ability to handle heavy and oversized pieces safely
• Availability to travel (domestic travel required)
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism

• Important:

This is a hands-on position. Candidates must be comfortable both driving and physically handling artworks.
