Job Description
Responsible for leading Wesco Data Office governance, compliance and system, regulatory controls. Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the Transactional Data governance process, collaborates with cross-functional leadership teams, Internal Audit, Controls team. Accountable for the data quality, completeness, data accuracy, data validity, data availability and efficacy of the Data Lake environment.
Responsibilities
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.

Responsibilities
- This position will be responsible for driving the Enterprise Data Governance framework, lead day-to-day compliance to adhere to policy and procedures, and work with development and implementation team to follow the best practices around data accuracy, data completeness, data consistency, data security, data availability/timeliness, and data validity
- Work with Establish data governance policies and procedures around data quality framework, control framework, regulatory requirements and define standard metrics and governance controls. Work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure compliance and improve data stewardship practices at enterprise scale
- Identify areas where data governance processes can be improved and develop strategies to address these issues and manage/ monitor data governance initiatives to ensure successful completion
- Lead, collaborate with cross-functional teams to run governance framework, initiatives
- and operating model (policies, standards, RACI; DCAM/DAMA-aligned), steward network, and committee cadence; embed governance checkpoints into the data-product lifecycle and portfolio processes
- Influences the design and evolution of scalable, secure enterprise data and AI platforms, that deliver data products that meet enterprise data governance standards
- Drives operational and process excellence and innovative behavior by empowering others, collaborating, taking appropriate risks, making timely decisions, and holding people accountable for results
- Aligns and enforces data and data product ownership decision rights, data quality, and metadata management practices, driving standards for cataloging, lineage tracking, and stewardship to ensure trust and compliance
- Ability to coach, guide, mentor team on data Governance, control framework, training internal teams and external partners related to Data Governance and controls
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data governance, data management, AI
- Listens to understand and fosters constructive dialogue and drive continuous Improvement Mindset for improvement and value creation, both incremental and large-scale
- 10 years of Data Management experience; with 7 years of significant governance of Master Data Domain like Products, Customers, Suppliers etc.
- Experience in building and leading a team including hiring and ongoing people development.
- Demonstrated ability to establish governance frameworks, stewardship processes, and master data standards from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of master data concepts, data quality management, data controls, and enterprise data operating models
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple work streams, along with demonstrated creativity and latitude in problem solving, including the ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing goals
- Strong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong team leadership and/or project management experience with multiple simultaneous initiatives and managing a team of Data Stewards, MDM Architects, Data Analyst etc.
- Skilled in the management of complex systems and decision-making under uncertainty
- Excellent project and time management skills and strong attention to detail, with experience in adhering to best practices of managing the life cycle of data-intensive machine learning projects
- Planning experience that adapts to communication between technical and business stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills and ability to work independently/within a team
