What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Center Operations Associate position at Wesco - North America?
It’s 7:00 a.m. and the dock doors roll open. You scan inbound pallets, log receipts, and stage returns. By mid-morning you’re cutting wire to spec, picking parts, and assembling accurate packing lists. After lunch, you consolidate materials to optimize space, then pack, label, wrap, and help load outbound trucks so our customers get what they need—on time, every time. That’s a day in the life of a Distribution Center Operations Associate at Wesco.
ScheduleMonday–Friday; 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Compensation$17.35 – $24.29 per hour
What you’ll do- Receive, verify, and record inbound shipments; complete required log sheets
- Process and verify supplier returns; enter order receipts accurately
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders with precision
- Perform wire cutting and light assembly as needed
- Relocate and consolidate materials to maintain organized stock
- Prepare and assemble packing lists for outgoing orders
- Pack, label, wrap, and load outbound trucks safely
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned areas

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- No prior experience required; entry-level friendly
- 1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred
- Basic computer literacy and problem-solving ability
- Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment
- Shipping/Receiving, Packaging, and Distribution fundamentals
- General Warehouse experience
- Maintenance and basic repair aptitude
- Meets physical role requirements
- High School / GED
- Basic Computer Skills
