The Company is headquartered in Strongsville, Ohio with manufacturing operations in Coral Springs, Florida and various sales offices throughout the country. We are pleased to be hiring a Purchasing Specialist in our Strongsville facility to support distribution and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities for Purchasing Specialist
· Leads purchasing efforts for Weschler’s headquarters in Strongsville, OH
· Maintain relationships with suppliers of finished goods and parts for manufacturing
· Continuously seek new vendor relationships for lower cost alternatives or sourcing of obsolete parts
· Establish purchasing reorder points and reorder quantities to optimize inventory while ensuring adequate supplies for manufacturing
· Solicit competitive quotes from various vendors and evaluate supplier performance
· Track incoming products and inventory for expected delivery and communicate with sales group
· Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure smooth flow of product from vendors to customers
Qualifications for Purchasing Specialist
· Knowledge of test, measurement, instrumentation or control industry
· 2-year technical degree or equivalent
· Experience purchasing within a manufacturing or distribution environment
· Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy, and systems
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
· Ability to multi-task with proven attention to details
· Strong team player with ability to work well with others
