What You Will Do…
- Read electrical and control schematics and assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator consoles, variable speed drives, motor controls, and/or pneumatic controls
- Inspect and test completed panels
- Maintain equipment and tools in a neat, clean, and efficient work area
- Work with shop manager to schedule and prioritize tasks
- Occasionally support installations at local customer facilities
- Availability during core hours of shop operation, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (some flexibility available)
- Previous panel building experience preferred (willing to train a motivated candidate)
- Formal electrical training or demonstrated on-the-job experience in the electrical field
- Familiarity with NEC, UL, and/or CSA codes preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand tools and small power tools
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and dependability
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be safety conscious
