What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Paving Superintendent position at Werner Construction Inc?
This position is responsible for coordinating and directing activities of their assigned asphalt crew to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and financial parameters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Supervise and coordinate asphalt plant and paving operations related to his/her crew.
- Ensure that quality control is developed and maintained.
- Monitors and facilitates labor and equipment resources based on project.
- Read and interpret plans for purposes of construction compliance.
- Communicate with State, Federal and local Project Managers to ensure project success.
- Confer with managers, sub-contractors, and Project Managers on a daily basis or as needed.
- Improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the crew members.
