Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving tasks to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct stock stocking activities and maintain organized storage areas for optimal warehouse efficiency.
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling materials with mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting techniques.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all warehouse operations to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve warehouse distribution processes and implement inventory management best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management and materials handling.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems, RF scanners, and order fulfillment software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to packaging, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes, stock control, and order picking & packing.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction or manufacturing environments.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support warehouse supervision efforts.
