Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Fitness and Wellness Programs, the Esports Head Coach is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and administration of the Competitive eSports teams at Wentworth. In conjunction with the Director, the head coach will manage the team rosters, manage and oversee official team communication channels, and manage student conduct and eligibility requirements.
Minimum Education Required
Preferred Knowledge: Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

Club Sport Coach's compensation varies based on seasons. The minimum Head Coach rate for this role is $4,500 per season.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of playing/coaching experience at a competitive level.
- Knowledge of Skill Development.
- Ability to work with and develop a variety of experience and skill levels.
- The coach must attend all practices and games, and travel when necessary.
- Previous playing or coaching experience.
- Skill development experience.
- Team building experience.
- Manage all aspects, areas, and components of the eSports teams. Coordinate all strategic aspects of the eSports program.
- Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practices, training, and competition.
- Assist in recruiting student-athletes.
- Manage all official team communication channels (ex. Discord, social media, etc.) to ensure proper conduct and compliance with university procedures and expectations,
- Along with the Director, establish a comprehensive semester practice and competitive schedule for the players and team, propose any/all events for approval, and execute all tournament registration and administration.
- Track the progress of the team and individuals players during the season through statistical analysis and reports.
- Abide by the rules and regulations of any and all official leagues or governing bodies with which Wentworth is affiliated.
- Management and upkeep of eSports equipment, software, and competition space.
